While this article on the Do's and Don'ts of Asking for A Raise was written to help employees, I found it enlightening as someone who is frequently asked for salary increases. I've heard quite a few of the don'ts in the past; some of those have rankled my feathers. I didn't know why at the time and this article helped unpack why I felt so uncomfortable, sometimes angry, in those moments.
